I have been humbled. I made an almost arrogant proclamation here last week on how I am bored with all the day-to-day recipes and wanted to make more of 'special recipes'. Since then, I received quite a few comments and not too few emails saying 'what the hell are you doing? who do you think you are!".
Ok, it wasn't that harsh.
Anyway, my intention was to try out recipes that are new to me. Maybe a Bong recipe, or a French recipe other than paneer butter masala or nan or white bread or anything else we usually see in a restaurant. I felt like I was sticking to my comfort zone.
And I want to thank you for helping me kick myself out of there into a new place. Its scary but I think I will be ok. I also promise not to only post hard-to-pronounce dishes in here. To keep things interesting for everyone, I will continue doing what am doing but just make sure that I try out atleast 2 completely new dishes each month, kinda like a resolution.
Ok, now that that's out of the way, let's talk Kitchen Things. Gadgets, utensils, props, accessories, anything that makes your life in the kitchen more fun and interesting.
What am I talking about? Read on..
Ever since I posted pics of my oven and gave out details, I've been thinking. I love kitchen stuff. I spend hours browsing through woks and tawas and knives and bowls anytime we go to the stores, be it Mustafa or Ikea or any other store here in Singapore.
How interesting would it be if we all could show and discuss the stuff that we love, the things we use every day or now and then to help us while cooking?
Very interesting right? I know!
That's why I've set up a space just for this. So without much more yada yada, I invite you to Meet My Kitchen Things!
Special thanks goes to Raks for being the first to share her very interesting kitchen thing that's the first post. I have a host of interesting stuff lined up so do join me on Facebook if interested!
